Both the top and trousers are on repeat, yet this is the first time they’ve met. The introduction went well and they immediately acquired a fondness for each other. I may have created a love story.
We were going downtown for dinner and I was in the mood for something dressier than my usual jeans and top. I scanned my closet and spotted these pants, which I love. So, which top??? My eyes fell upon this little cutie and I thought, why not? For some pizzazz I paired it with silver strappy heels, statement earrings and an orange bag for a pop of color. Voila, a new outfit.
The pretty colored walls and buildings are one of the things I love about downtown. This one made a great backdrop.
My husband has been a lifelong student of history and just loves old buildings. It was no surprise we detoured to climb the stairs of the United States Custom House before we went to dinner. We decided to sit a few minutes and absorb its grandness.
You can see how large the columns are – one could easily play hide and seek up here. This is a must see when you’re in Charleston.
The older I get, the braver my experiments with new outfits. I say, give it a try. You may create your own love story!
