It’s easy to take your basic white tee and a pair of jeans into fall. Grab a cute cardigan; fun pair of shoes and you’re ready to go. For an updated look I paired these basics with this Anthropologie ruffled cardigan and these adorable Ann Taylor leopard print shoes.
For some additional pizaaz I added a brown belt, big hoop earrings, layered three necklaces and grabbed my large tan bag. As you know, I’m not a big necklace person. But, there are times it’s fun to get outside your box. All these items are several seasons old, some even decades, but I still love them. I seldom get rid of jewelry, belts or bags. However, if a bag is really worn then I will part with it. Nothing can ruin a look faster than a beat up bag.
These Rockstar jeans from Old Navy are rocking. They are the least expensive jeans I have and they may be one of my favorites. They have stretch to them, lending to a great fit and comfort to boot.
I love, love, love the ruffle sleeves. It adds a wonderfully feminine touch to the basic cardigan.
I’ve seen a lot of leopard print shoes, but these had me at the bow. And lately I’ve been feeling big bags. The problem, I throw everything into it and within days it becomes an unorganized mess. Small bags force me to be efficient, taking only the absolute necessities. But isn’t it great having options?
This outfit could easily go to work. If distressed jeans don’t meet the dress code, or you don’t like them, then a skinny or boyfriend jean would be a great option. I refused to buy distressed jeans for years and now I wonder why…
