Red is one of my favorite colors and I especially like pairing it with gray. Ruffles and crop pants are big this season and I don’t see either going away any time soon.
Since both the top and pants were solid colors I paired them with these adorable Ann Taylor leopard flats for some piazza. A Chloe small cross-body bag and vintage earrings rounded out the outfit. I use the term vintage because they’ve been in my jewelry box for a very long time.
This outfit could go to work, dinner date or for a casual cocktail party, from now to the holidays. The red ruffle sweater is such a festive statement piece. Red is my “pick me up” color and there’s nothing like a great red lip color too. What’s your “pick me up” color?
The sleeves are gorgeous and I’m certain you will be seeing it on repeat over the next several months.
We’ve been seeing a lot of pants with satin ribbon waist bows. These came from a boutique we explored during our summer visit to Holland, Michigan. I’m crazy about the bow, however it does wrinkle easily – I just go with it.
A statement necklace would also look lovely with this sweater, but then I would pair it with a smaller earring. I don’t like my earrings and necklace competing with each other. However, I’ve seen the combination done well. As I’ve always said, the first rule to dressing is feeling comfortable with your own choices. So it’s important to remember all my looks can easily be modified to best fit “you”.
Charleston really does offer so much beauty. The big oak trees always make me catch my breath and I never tire of it.
Wishing you a marvelous Wednesday!
