Whether traveling by air or land, I like to be comfortable. Thankfully, we have a wonderful variety of comfortable and stylish items to choose from.
These Grey State pants are essentially sweatpants, but the bowed waist elevates these to the best ones I’ve ever owned. These pants are amazingly versatile. Click on: Sleeveless Sweater, Fancy Sweats and Bowed Slides, Red Ruffle Sweater & Crop Pants, Grey State Cropped Pants And Off-The-Shoulder Top for examples of how I’ve paired them previously. We were traveling to Seattle via commercial air, which is a long day of changing planes. I was extremely comfy and ready to head to dinner when we arrived. These Ann Taylor mules were perfect because I like to kick my shoes off on long flights.
We were headed to Melbourne, Fl for a couple of workdays and intended to fly; however Mother Nature told us otherwise. People ask if I’m afraid to fly in that little plane. The answer is no. That’s because my husband is a wonderful pilot and he always puts safety first. So on the road we went. I bought these pants from Athleta last year and these city jogger pant (on sale) are very similar. I paired them with my sleeveless Levi’s tee, and Ecco shoes. It was a very comfortable outfit for driving. However, I feel safer in the air than traveling by land most days. There are a lot of crazy drivers on the road… and no texting please!
We were headed to Oklahoma and the flight time was seven hours. We planned two stops for fuel and to stretch our legs. I love these Athleta stretch cord tights, they are as soft as can be. They’re so comfy they almost feel like you’re wearing nothing. I paired them with this Athleta pink cashmere sweater, because I love pink and grays together. Of course I could not be without my pink mules.
We were taking off for Indiana and it was going to be cold there. I decided on boyfriend jeans (the most comfortable), cotton sweater, tennis shoes and jacket. Since the cockpit was going to be cool there would be no kicking off my shoes. I love skinny jeans, but I find boyfriend jeans to be the most comfortable for traveling. At least, when I’m traveling in a small cockpit. The Fjallraven backpack always travels with me. This White + Warren sweater seems to be a favorite too.
It was early morning and we were saying our goodbyes before heading back to Charleston. I’m crazy about these Lululemon pants in ice grey black. They fit like a glove and move easily with me. It makes getting in and out of the cockpit a breeze. I paired them with an old Madewell black silk shirt and pink mules (again). I also packed my Club Monaco sweater to layer on top when night brought cooler weather. If I’ve never mentioned this, flying at night is incredibly beautiful. Pictured with my in-laws.
From the cockpit we watched the sun go down on our way to OK.
Hubby took this picture just before we landed Oklahoma.
Hubby thought he was being funny. He took a pic and sent it to the kids with the caption, “My co-pilot…” Trust me its hard work. 🙂
I hope this was helpful. If you have favorite traveling pants we’d love to know. Just leave a comment below.
Wishing you a wonderful start to your week!
