I purchased this Max Mara dress eons ago (on sale), yet I still love wearing it. Classic styles are timeless and regardless of the initial cost give back in exponential ways. Since burgundy and gray together are one my favs, it seemed natural to pair this dress with these gray suede pumps, grey scarf, burgundy bag, and this beautiful circa1910 necklace and St. John earrings.
This outfit can go to work, luncheon, holiday office party or dress up date night. One year I wore this dress for our anniversary dinner and paired it with black pumps, black satin clutch and fancy black & stone earrings. We had a small winter wedding, in a chapel and my two children walked me down the aisle – I still get goose bumps thinking about that. My husband said he was marrying all three of us, and he really did. We’re coming up on 28 years.
We visited Italy in 2010 and found Pashmina scarves everywhere. They were the exact same ones we bought in the States at a fraction of the cost. We loaded up. I think I own every color in the rainbow.
These Ann Taylor pumps are new and I think they’re just the prettiest. Gray is a neutral color like black or brown. However, there are times I want a softer look, which gray offers.
I’m more of an earrings person, but I love the charm of this circa1910 African Brass & Quartz Coin necklace. This would make a beautiful gift for someone special, even if that were you! Remember, life is not black and white, but shades of everything. Wishing you a happy day.
