This Anthropologie halter dress is perfect for the Holidays. The festive color, full skirt and feminine design make it a Holiday home run. I paired it with suede pumps, glitzy dangles, crystal stretch bracelet and satin clutch. To top it off I threw on my vintage red and black swing coat and was ready for the party.
Decisions on hair and makeup are part of dressing up. When my hair was longer I frequently wore it up or back, especially when I dressed up. Since my hair is much shorter now, best decision, I choose to stick with my every day style. As far as makeup goes, I’m a bit more heavy handed with my eyes than for my usual day-to-day look. I tend to use darker browns or navy to create a smoky eye, which I love, and of course red lips.
This vintage red and black reversible swing coat is still one of my favorites. I’ve had it so long the tags are gone and I have no idea who made it. It’s the heaviest and warmest coat I own and unfortunately there are few opportunities to wear it in Charleston. It was perfect for those Michigan winters.
I love how the tie around the neck becomes a necklace for the back. If you look closely you can also see the netted skirt underneath the dress that adds fullness and movement.
This dress can easily double as a resort/summer dress — score for stretching your wardrobe dollars. How gorgeous would it look with a pair of slides, wide brim hat, fun earrings and your favorite sunnies! An item must earn its keep in your closet.
Is it dusk or dawn… you decide.
Another day, another style…
