Festive Casual

I feel festive when I’m out Christmas shopping, see the pretty decorations and hear Christmas music. Most of my shopping is now on-line, because it’s easy, fast and leaves time for fun. Yet, I still love stepping out to the stores and when I do, I generally dress festive casual.

This Anthropologie red ruffle sweater is about as festive as it gets. To keep it casual I paired it with boyfriend jeans, leopard print flats, newsboy cap, dangle earrings, mini black bag and sunnies. All of these items are from my closet and on repeat (wreath not included).

I don’t wear hats because I’m having a bad hair day; I wear them because I love them.  Most of my hats are for daytime wear.  So if I’ve had one on all day and plan to go out later, I just spray my hair with Living Proof Full Dry Volume Blast and it’s almost like new.  My hair is super fine and I’m thankful I have a lot of it, but I truly wonder what I did before this product.

Sometimes I leave the purse and carry my backpack when I go shopping.  It’s a convenient way to carry purchases.  You might be amazed at how much I can stuff into it.

A tidbit about myself…  I’m an introvert and I recharge during quiet time.  Although, I enjoy the whole shopping experience and being around lots of people, I eventually have to seek quiet.  That could mean slipping into an off the path coffee shop for some java and a treat. My youngest daughter and I are notorious for finding this type of shop. It’s the sudden intense look that is my family’s clue I either need food or quiet.  And in this case it was both.
