Pencil Skirt & Red Suede Boots

Pencil Skirt & Red Suede Boots

When you want to find one more way to wear your Zara pencil skirt, you dig in your closet. I challenge myself on a regular basis, because it’s amazing how many different looks you can actually create. This exercise saves you time and money – and who doesn’t like that!

The more classic a piece, generally the easier to pair it with other items and create more looks.  A pencil skirt is a staple you’d find in most women’s closets.  The longer length is the only thing that makes this skirt a bit more trending (which can be taken up at a later date).  The first thing I grabbed was my Madewell red boots from last year.  Because they’re so colorful I paired the skirt with a black turtleneck and brown sweater coat.  This was also the perfect opportunity to carry my Loewe’s red and brown bag and add some fun earrings for the finishing touches.

I am a fan of this Madewell sweater coat because it can work as a long blazer as well as a coat.  This outfit reminds me of something the leading lady might wear in an old movie – the one that always looked so chic. I think that’s where my love for fashion began.

You’ll see a lot of red this season, but for me red is always on point.

When you just want to let your freak flag fly – you do.  Its being the most authentic you and caring less what others think.
