Shades of black and white are easy to pull together and always look good. Individually they make great staples that mix and match with just about any item in your closet. These include blouses, sweaters, skirts, shoes, boots, purses, pants, jeans, and coats. For a chic monochromatic look just pair all white or all black from head to toe. Literally, chic made easy.
There is something very gratifying when you bring an old Ralph Lauren blazer back to life. I bought this blazer years ago at a fraction of the list price and wore the dickens out of it. Somehow it then got stuck in the back of my closet.
Standing so close I could actually hear the echos of the small tunnel behind me.
We were headed downtown and I really wanted to wear these Anthropologie skinny trousers. Since it was sunny, but cool I grabbed this Club Monaco sweater to layer over my black blouse and added black suede boots, small cross-body bag and earrings. I still needed a little something for warmth and I remembered this blazer. When you haven’t worn something for a while, doesn’t it almost seem brand new?
I love being downtown, especially around the Holidays. The funny thing is the streets are much quieter than they were just a few years ago. I think a lot of people have jumped on the on-line shopping bandwagon. I know I have. It leaves a lot more time to enjoy other Holiday activities.
