Anthropologie Velvet Dress

Anthropologie Velvet Dress

This Anthropologie velvet dress is perfect for any holiday occasion. What’s awesome is that it can easily transition into the New Year.  It can go just about anywhere you want to take it; layer a blazer over it and you’re work ready.

When I wear a dress I generally prefer a long coat, however not always. A bomber jacket is a great alternative if you like switching things up.  Besides, it adds swank to any outfit.  Over the years I’ve collect two leather bombers, one in black and the other in brown.  I wear both regularly.

There are a lot of restaurants with both inside and outside seating in Charleston.  But on super hot or cold days I always opt for inside. Although, I do love when it gets dark and they string lights around the perimeter, it makes outside dining so romantic. But for now I’ll wait until it gets a tad warmer.

I have gotten so much wear from these J Crew suede heels.  They are very comfortable and the heel height is good.  I often feel clumsy and have to think too much about walking when heels get too tall.  Maybe I’m the only one, but I like to get dressed, feel great and not worry about anything I’m wearing.

I’m crazy about these Anthropolgie earrings.  They go with just about everything and really glam up an outfit.

Friday as promised, I will be posting my “ugly sweater” for National Ugly Sweater Day.  For the record, I love the sweater and have kept it for 25 years.  It was only when I tried to look up the designer did I discover it was deemed an ugly sweater. You know they say you can’t believe everything you read – I’m going with it.
