Generally I’m not a fan of matchy-matchy, but there are combinations that can look elegant.  This is one of those.  The two-piece can be worn dressed up, or casual with fury mules.  I prefer this jacket with a cami, although it is designed to go solo.  If you were inclined to cook this would make a great dinner party outfit.

Date night is one of my favorite leisure activities, which usually includes eating out.  We frequent The Granary, where my son works. I can blow him kisses (everyone there knows I’m his mom) and the food is delicious.  I am prejudiced, but he’s a fabulous chef.  However, we still enjoy most of our meals at home.  My son is our only child living in Charleston and he still loves a home cooked meal.

Black can be a great accessory color, so I paired this top and trousers with a black cami, pumps and bag.  However, my Zara earrings have lots of color, which added some highlights around my face.  Since my skin is relatively light it can easily looked washed out.  That’s why I often wear red lips and pretty earrings.  It helps to add some pizzazz.

Each piece would also look good separately.  I’m thinking of wearing the trousers with an oversized sweater and kitten mules and the top with a pair of jeans & turtleneck – the options are endless.

I’ve been experimenting with fragrances lately and just added Tom Ford’s Black Orchid to my collection.  It’s different from my usual choices, but I have to admit I’m very fond of it.  I’ve been wearing it almost non-stop.
