Although the snow has come and gone in Charleston, cold snowy weather is ongoing for many of you. Layering is a great way to stay warm, why not do it with style? Cashmere and sequins are often saved for special occasions, but I say every day can be special, even snow days.
When I purchased this Anthropologie sequin skirt I intended to wear it past the holidays. The multi colors give you many pairing options. I’m crazy about the touch of pastel pink and plan on wearing it this summer with a pretty cami and sandals. That would make an adorable summer date night outfit.
Being a fan of layers, this was easy for me to throw together. Similar items are probably sitting in your closet. Grab a skirt, sweater, jean jacket, scarf, tights (socks could be layered over the tights), boots and coat (there is no specific style required to achieve this look). The jean jacket adds an extra layer of warmth when facing Ms. Winter. It can also double as a blazer should your destination leave you feeling a bit chilly.
Pairing a solid skirt and sweater and using a colorful scarf instead would be another option.

This picture captures an interesting contrast. One half looks like a beautiful sunny fall day, the other shows the ground covered in snow. Don’t we all have days like this?
A kid at heart…
Hoping your weekend is exactly what you want!
