Sometimes you just want to wrap yourself in classics. Chunky turtlenecks, pencil skirts and button down shirts have been around a long time. You can easily add some pizzazz to this outfit by pairing adorable bow pumps and glitzy danglers with it.
The complimentary patterns of the sweater and shirt were my favorite aspect of the combination. The neckline was loose compared to some turtlenecks, which made it easy to have my collar poking up. Since the sweater is boxy and long I prefer giving it a half-tuck. This helps show case the skirt and elongate the look.
I’m a big fan of kitten heels and these Nina topped with pretty bows are a favorite. They also come in navy, champagne and silver.
I’ve really enjoyed this Cabi faux leather skirt. It’s seasons old and still a great staple in my closet. This one is no longer available, but I found a similar one from Calvin Klein that is currently on sale for $50.99.
Some folks complain about the cold and snowy weather we’ve been having in Charleston. I thoroughly enjoy it. I grew up in the Midwest so it might bring back happy memories. Or perhaps it just gives me the chance to wear those chunky sweaters and warm winter coats that hang unworn in my closet much of the year.
