The need for a warm winter coat is short-lived in Charleston. Our winters are brief and summers long. However, this winter has already been colder and longer than usual. This has given me the opportunity to wear every coat I own, even this old standby Juicy Couture jacket.
We were downtown strolling around East Bay Street before heading to lunch. After all these years I’m still amazed at how much is left to discover. Charleston’s streets often tie into alleys and nooks that are filled with historical charm and beauty. If you have the chance to visit, do take the path less traveled and wander down some alleys.
Feeling like I’m on top of the world…

I wanted warm comfortable boots for what promised to be a day of walking. My outfit ended up being a Madewell kind of day with Alicia Boots, tie-cull pullover sweater and boyfriend jeans. Unfortunately, the tie-cuff pullover is only available in a few sizes in white, however I have found similar sweaters here & here. To complete my outfit I paired it with J Crew fancy earrings, Chloe Faye bag, short socks and Kate Spade sunnies.
We were on East Bay Street so we headed to Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar for some good eats. My daughter and I stumbled across it two Christmases ago and I wanted to take hubby. Sydney and I generally split a dozen oysters, a beet salad and glass of wine. This is turning into an annual tradition.
