Pajama-style trousers have been on point this season. That’s probably because they are versatile as well as comfortable. I’ve dressed these Zara ones up with a matching jacket and heels for date night. Today, it’s all about styled casual comfort.

Off to the races I go… I know I’m not the only one that feels like that. Our calendars seem to have more in them than we can possibly accomplish on any given day. With that said, I do like Mondays. I’ve never understood why some people complain about them. Maybe it’s a byproduct of getting older and appreciating what we have – like every new day!

I have been asked how I put an outfit together. It can vary. For example, today I knew I wanted to wear these Zara pants, but I had no idea what to pair with them. I went into my closet and pulled out this several seasons old Madewell black cropped tee. I went to my jewelry box and liked these BaubleBar earrings because the turquoise matched my pants. Then I chose my pink suede mules to coordinate with the earrings. The handbag was the most difficult choice. I naturally went for my small black bag, however I had lots of errands and needed a larger bag. This Chloe bag won since I like combining browns, blacks and pinks. Plus, I love adding an extra dimension of color. These Kate Spade pink sunnies were perfect.

If my tee had been longer I would have tucked it in, or at least done a half tuck. To see these trousers styled for date night: click here.

Even when our days are crazy busy, we need to learn to stop, relax and regroup. I find I’m actually more efficient when I take a few and breathe!
