Transitioning from winter to spring is difficult when outfit planning. The weather is often still cold, yet I am ready for those springtime colors. This J Crew sleeveless tie-neck top is perfect. The color is stunning and can easily be layered with a sweater or blazer for those cooler days. And how cute for those warm spring and summer months?
To wear this top for cooler days I paired it with White and Warren beige cashmere cardigan, Urban Outfitters trousers, and Kate Spade t-strap kitten heels. This sweater was a gift from my oldest son many years ago and I still love it. He’s one that would never buy me anything from my wish list. He always loved to surprise me.
The tie-neck can either be worn knotted and long (as shown), bowed or wrapped around the front and bowed.
These Urban Outfitters trousers have been a favorite. I love their versatility and to see how I’ve previously style them click on: Three Ways To Wear Urban Outfitters High-Rise Pant.
I finished the look with a wide brown belt, brown Chloe bag and J Crew colorful stoned earrings. For years I have been threading my belt between the hoops left to right. That would explain why the manufacturers name is always upside down. I guess women are meant to put theirs on in the opposite direction from men. However this habit is a long-standing one and I’m not really interested in changing it. Also, it would appear I have trouble keeping my belt straight as well.
