Flats always have a place in a women’s closet, even for stiletto lovers. There are times nothing else will do except a gorgeous, comfortable flat. This spring flats are on point and you’ll be seeing plenty of them.
These Zara ballerinas with big bows (pictured above) are my newest ones. I was looking for a feminine shoe and these had me at the bows. To see them styled with red trousers click here.
Flats can be worn with jeans, trousers, skirt and dresses. The most difficult thing about buying new ones is there are literally so many cute choices. Since I wear a lot of jeans and trousers I wanted a flat to dress things up. However, if I were going for a beach or super casual look I’d most likely choose a canvas or espadrille.
When I was in Seattle last fall my feet were killing me and I purchased my black Ecco sneakers – truly a lifesaver. These shoes are particularly great if you plan on a lot of walking. I’d also like to mention that these are cool enough to wear with a blazer and trousers or a casual dress. Do not limit them to active wear.
