Skirts are a favorite of mine, particularly in the spring and summer. They are versatile, pretty and they are cooler than shorts or pants in Charleston’s sweltering heat. This season I’m embracing midi skirts; especially this adorable Zara striped knit one.
The skirt’s vibrant colors remind me of spring flowers. It was warm enough during the day to sport the Zara skirt (similar here & here & here), Oak + Fort black tank/cami and Corso Como black suede sandals. But as the temperature got cooler, this Madewell jean jacket was ideal.
I added my vintage drop earrings (never get rid of jewelry), coin necklace from my grandfather and Chloe Drew Mini bag to complete the outfit. It was a stretch for me to wear both long earrings and a necklace, but today I was feeling it. I did forgo my usual Pandora bracelet.
Obviously I don’t believe in the “never look back” mantra. Ha-ha.
Although the design resembles a pencil skirt, I love the wider hemline. Not only does it look pretty when you walk, it also allows for a healthy stride. I don’t feel like Morticia in the Addams family.
I wasn’t fooling when I said I’m embracing the midi skirt. Click on the following link to view another one of my favs; Urban Outfitters Yellow Midi Skirt & Accessories.
