Cold temps hit DC, but the city was full of sunshine. We are staying at The Madison located in the heart of the city. Our room has a balcony with a view overlooking the Washington and Jefferson Memorials. Shopping, food and keeping warm were today’s goals so I paired these Rachel Comey jeans with Zara top, Madewell boots (these boots were made for walking), BaubleBar earrings, Levis leather bomber and Chloe bag.
Waiting for breakfast, then hubby and I were Ubering to Tysons Corner, for his meeting and my shopping. It’s a huge shopping area and I was left without adult supervision. (Ha-ha) I tease, but I’m generally very thoughtful about my purchases. As I always say, an item must earn its spot in your closet.
I brought only one bag and coat with me, so I packed items that would mix and match. This may be the lightest and fastest I’ve packed for a short trip. Unfortunately my mom is a slow packer, I think I got that gene.
I found one of my favorite restaurants, Le Pain Quotidien, connected to the shoe department at Bloomingdale’s. I just had to stop for a delicious gluten-free muffin and coffee – life is good.
