There is nothing more perfect for romping around the pretty Chicago streets than a romper. Comfy shoes were a must since our day was going to include a lot of walking. This may be the first romper I’ve owned. I love the chic, grown-up design.
I enjoy the loose fit and longer hemline. I’ve seen women of all ages wear a short, tight fitting romper and they look marvelous. However, I wouldn’t be comfortable because I’d feel like I’d have to hold in my stomach all day. Ha-ha. I laugh because I have a very sensitive stomach and if I eat something wrong then I bloat terribly. That isn’t happening as frequently now because I’m learning what foods annoy my stomach. My stomach and I are not always the best of friends but we’re working on it.
For a casual comfy look I paired this Oak + Fort romper with my new Rachel Comey Verner slides, Kayu straw bucket bag, Mango earrings and Pandora bracelet. Browns and blacks have become one of my favorite combos. For a dressier look I would pair this romper with Mango black suede mules, Chloe black bag and Mango rhinestone crystal earrings.
The Near North side of Chicago has the most beautiful streets lined with flowers. I would love to take a peek into one of these Brownstones. They look positively magnificent. We passed by Washington Square Park where you could spot just about every breed of dog.
As always we are enjoying Chicago. I think when my husband retires we might have to spend more of our time here. I miss a white Christmas. BTW, that is one of my favorite movies.
Thanks for stopping by!
