It’s great to finally meet someone you’ve been working with long distance. I’d seen pictures of her, but to actually sit down and have a face to face was the best. It’s even better when your creative energy is compatible. Since we were tooling around Chicago beforehand, I decided on this pretty J Crew blouse, DL1961 jeans and Rachel Comey slides. This outfit worked with one fell swoop.
We were up early and ready to go. My meeting wasn’t until 3:00 pm, but we had a lot we wanted to accomplish. Our days in Chicago were narrowing quickly. First stop was breakfast at my favorite place Le Pain Quotidien.
Before we took off we captured a few pics in the courtyard where we were staying. I’m loving this J Crew ruched-sleeve blouse paired with DL1961 jeans, Rachel Comey slides (cute option here), Coach bag, Illesteva Isabella cat eye sunnies (that could not be more me), and big gold hoops. Since I needed my backpack I decided on a smaller crossbody bag for convenience.
We really enjoyed all the beautiful greenery that surrounded the place.
This Fjallraven Kanken black backpack has been one of my favorites. It holds my Mac securely and I still have another compartment for extras such as appointment book, magazines, etc. It also has sleeves on each side for water bottles. This bag has seen a lot of Chicago. My hubby likes to sneaks pictures of us. We are so similar, yet very different. That’s probably why we get along so well. We do have our moments, but it doesn’t take us long to makeup. I think that’s mostly from us having a great deal of respect for each other.
It was a great meeting, a great day and I miss you Chicago.
Happy Friday and thanks for stopping by!
