I have never been able to own just one swimsuit. I love swimsuits: one-piece, two-piece and even itsy-bitsy bikinis. Swimsuit styles change over the years, but what’s in a style? This Betsy Johnson two-piece with high waist bottoms is retro and currently trending. A one-piece today can completely cover you (from bottom to neck) or be so cutout that it rivals the smallest bikini for “exposure”. The key is what you’re comfortable wearing, regardless of how it’s classified.
Finding a good fitting swimsuit is not easy. I generally try on dozens (maybe more) before finding one that fits. I may go on the hunt for a specific style, but many times I end up buying the one that looks and feels the most attractive. When I came across this Betsy Johnson high waist two-piece I knew it would be a good addition to my collection. It’s a beautiful option if you love a two-piece, but aren’t comfortable with a bikini
This halter-top and high waist bottoms cover more “territory” than many of today’s styled one-piece suits. Yet, if baring your midriff makes you uncomfortable than a fuller cut one-piece is the way to go. Choosing a style that is right for you is ALWAYS your best option.
The end of summer can be the best time to buy a swimsuit. Most are on “super sale”. However, the downside is many sizes may be sold out. Since I like to be resort ready, I make sure my swimwear is always good to go. Although, we do not have cold winters compared to much of the country I’m ready for some warm weather and beach come February or March.
We were headed to a casual dinner on Sullivan’s Island, so I grabbed my Eva Trends shift () and these red slides. Sullivan’s Island has about two blocks of restaurants and all are beachwear friendly.
What’s your favorite style of swimwear? Or are you like me and love them all? Ha-ha.
Happy Friday friends!
