Tucking In A Double Layer Blouse

New Look: Tucking In A Double Layer Blouse

I love this Mango double layer blouse; it’s so feminine.  I’ve always worn it out over pants or jeans, showcasing the lovely layers, but felt the challenge to style it differently. Every item needs multiple styles to earn its place in our closets. The day was filled with errands, usual work stuff, plus a face-to-face meeting on Google Hangouts (so I had to look presentable from at least the waist up). Ha-ha. I decided to tuck the bottom layer of the blouse into these GRLFRND jeans. The high waist gave me enough room to comfortably tuck in the bottom layer while leaving the top layer exposed. Pairing a Mango suede belt, Rachel Comey slides, Kayu straw bag and J Crew colorful dangles gave me the new look I wanted.

The detail on the back of the blouse and layered sleeves are lovely. The sleeve length is complementary and a bit longer than some short sleeve tops.  If you’re not a sleeveless fan this would be a great option.   The asymmetrical top layer also gives this casual look an interesting depth. I was very pleased with the final results.

While I paired the blouse and jeans with tan accessories, they could be matched with a lot of other color options you may have in your closet.

There are times I don’t wear a belt, but it emphasized the crop top look for this outfit.  This is a great option if you like the cropped look without exposing any belly bits.

Another week has flown by. Hubby has been out of town and will be home tomorrow. I miss him when he’s gone, but sometimes I enjoy the break from my regularly scheduled routine. When it’s just me I cook as little as possible and there’s probably a few trips for takeout! Luckily I have my fur baby girls! They never fail to wake me up with kisses, letting me know it’s time for breakfast.

Have a great weekend and as always, thank you for stopping by.

XO Cheryl
