Transitioning from summer to fall has its challenges. By the time September rolls around I’m ready for cool air and beautiful fall colors. Unfortunately Charleston doesn’t offer much of either, but that doesn’t stop me from trying to get my fall game on.
When I spotted this lovely Mango floral embroidery blouse I knew it would be a good investment. Not only would it move nicely from summer into fall, it’s really a perfect year-round blouse. I love how the squared off bottom gives it a finished look if you wear it out. It looks equally nice tucked into high waisted jeans, pants or a skirt and is perfect to throw a blazer over and wear to work.
The sheer floral embroidery really speaks to my feminine side. If you’re not comfortable with how sheer the blouse is add a nude or ecru colored cami underneath.
For a casual look I paired it with these Madewell vintage jeans, Linea Paolo Crissy bow pump, Mango asymmetric earrings and a Nobile leather bag I bought when we visited Italy in 2010. Our youngest had just graduated from high school and off we went. It was one of the best family trips we ever took. We did the typical tourist things, but the most enjoyable was finding hidden spots, such as restaurants and stores, that were frequented by the locals.
I never feel completely dressed without a spritz of fragrance. I use lighter ones during the warmer months as I don’t want it to be overwhelming or offensive. One of my favorites is GABRIELLE CHANEL Eau de Parfum spray. It’s light enough I can wear this all year. If I’m going out at night I might add an extra spirtz. I love it when I get a hug and someone tells me I smell good, especially hubby.
If you’re ever in Rome, where I bought this Nobile leather bag, I recommend stopping in and indulging in a leather good. The prices are very reasonable and they have a large selection.
These Mango asymmetric earrings are so cool and sell for $29.99. It’s my first asymmetric pair and I see another fun pair in my near future. If you get a chance check them out.
Wishing you a good week!
