Sunday Night Style

Family date night is always fun and I always look forward to it. There’s nothing like this pretty Madewell midi skirt, J Crew knit tank and Corso Como strappy suede heels to create the perfect Sunday night style for Charleston in September. The evenings here are still very warm and this combo kept me cool and comfortable.

This J Crew sweater tank in vintage champagne is a great fall item.  It can easily be worn for dress up or super casual and can be layered under a blazer or denim jacket.  I kept my accessories to a minimum adding these Mango asymmetric earrings, Madewell delicate stacking rings and Chloe mini bag.

I love this Madewell side-button skirt.  You can have fun with the buttons and let as much leg show on either side as your comfortable with.  This skirt would look adorable with a tee and denim jacket for a casual sporty look.

We always take a trip downtown for some good eats when our daughter visits from Chicago.  Typically we share a few apps and a dozen oysters and then get on with the main course.  Our daughter cannot pass up dessert so we’re all sure to get a bite of something yummy.  Isn’t there a saying that a family that eats together, stays together? Whether that’s true or not, I always believed sitting down as a family for dinner was important. Sometimes that meant we didn’t eat until 8 pm. The kids weren’t always thrilled about it. But, as adults, each has thanked us for the experience and time we all shared together.

I’ve seen that adorable skirt and I love it! Eating together is important to me as well but it’s getting a lot harder as the kids are getting older with their own schedules and activities.

Thanks much. I plan on pairing this skirt with a tee and denim jacket. And when it’s cold a sweater and boots. Lots of options!

I understand about the activities and work schedules, it does make it more difficult. Even several weekly meals together is better than none. XO
