Blazers are a great closet staple. You can pair them with jeans, trousers, sweatpants, skirts or even layered over a dress. Their versatility is endless. To give last years Zara blazer a new look I paired it with these Annabelle wide leg pants, rolled the sleeves, belted it and added fun accessories. This is what I call blazen with wide leg pants.
I love that white has become a year round color and we’ve dropped the no more white after Labor Day “rule”. You’ll be seeing a lot of black and white paired together this fall and winter season, so don’t be quick to pack those items away.
Blazers are also being worn as a top rather than a coat or jacket, often with nothing underneath. I added a black cami for a tad more coverage, plus it added a feminine touch.
These Zara earrings are fun and add pizzazz to whatever I’m wearing. I found them on EBay for $35.00 (click on the following link, Zara earrings). Recently I purchased this Madewell stacking ring set and have been wearing them nonstop.
If you’re thinking about buying a white shoe or boot you might be interested in these Madewell Grayson Brogue Chelsea Boots in dried flax. I’m anxiously awaiting the arrival of mine.
There’s a lot of controversy about Charleston’s evacuation for Florence. On the one hand, Charleston was blessed with no damage. There’s been plenty of it over the 20 years we’ve lived here. We have been through several hurricanes and tropical storms that left real harm in their wakes. It’s understandable why some would feel compelled to immediately evacuate. On the other hand, we’ve never seen an evacuation order issued so early. The reality is that a significant number of people were unnecessarily left with no income for a week. That’s a hardship that many simply cannot afford.
I’m hoping there will be less judgment on both sides and more empathy for everyone involved. North Carolina you have our prayers.
