In fairness, I have not tried every concealer available on the market. However, this Jane Iredale is the best concealer I’ve ever used.
There are several reasons I’m recommending this concealer. . One, the product really conceals as promised until I take my makeup off. Two, I love the application chart at the top of the case. It takes all the guesswork out of which palette is the best application for your skin problem. I’ve actually had the pleasure (ha-ha) to use all four.
It would be great to always have perfect skin, but that’s not me. I have Rosacea, which I seemed to have inherited from the Irish side of my family. Symptoms of Rosacea are facial redness and tiny, visible veins on the face. Luckily, I’ve been seeing a dermatologist to treat this for a decade now. Every night I use a topical face lotion , but periodically I also get a Vbeam treatment. Vbeam is a pulsed-dye laser that emits short bursts of light to treat Rosacea by destroying the blood vessels close to the surface (info from Germain Dermatology website).
I also have a bad habit of picking my blemishes, which can leave a discoloration on my skin until it heals. My dermatologist always scolds me for that, but sometimes it’s just bigger than me.
Last, I have a small scar on my face where a basal cell was removed a few years back. The beige palette is perfect for covering it up.
All in all I’ve been blessed with fairly good skin, but there are those days where I’d be lost without my Jane Iredale concealer. It really helps me deal with those small skin issues that crop up now and then.
