When Winter Takes A Sabbatical

This last week has seen spring like temperatures. I’m not particularly a fan, but this is one of those cases where you just have to roll with it. Maybe this is a vestige of my former Midwest lifestyle. I miss snow and I love sweaters, coats and boots. So when the calendar says January, I’m still in the mode of wanting to dress for winter. But we don’t always get a vote and sometimes must compromise with Ms. Weather.

Outfit Details:

Club Monaco feather vest, Madewell ballard stripe shirt, Mango black pleated pants, Madewell etta pumps, The Volon leopard box bag, Daniel Wellington watch, J Crew earrings(old), similar here.

There’s nothing like a “light as a feather vest” to pair with this striped blouse and black pants for a winter look with springtime temps.  To take these classics to work I finished with a pair of suede pumps, black beaded earrings and leopard box bag.  Each item in this look is a great basic that can be worn year round.

We’ll be heading to Michigan in less than two weeks to pick up our new puppy.  I’m fairly certain I’ll get my quota of cold weather and maybe even snow.  My sister and her husband live nearby so we’ll be staying with her.  Fun times await!

Happy New Year!

XO Cheryl
